Networking Through Relationship

As seasons change, God customarily pours out new wine.  A prerequisite for receiving and assimilating this new wine is creating appropriate, God-designed new wineskins.  Jesus says, “People do not put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins are ruined.  But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved” (Matthew 9:17).  The season in which we now live is the second Apostolic Age which began in 2001.  The biblical government of the church “founded on apostles and prophets” (see Ephesians 2:20), is being recognized more and more as the norm for churches today.  A key phrase for restoring the church to its original design is “apostolic alignment”.  Those holding the equipping offices of the church, namely apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, are recognizing that in order for their ministry to move to its highest possible level, they need proper apostolic alignment.

In 2006, Doug Schneider of Oshawa, Ontario Canada, founded Global Canada, in order to provide one of the wineskins necessary to receive this new wine of apostolic alignment.  He also gives leadership to the Embassy Church in Oshawa.  To date about 70 leaders walk together in this network, sharing the bond of strong relationship and focused mission.  It includes revival in the church for the purpose of reaching outside the church, for the transformation of all spheres of society.   GC is not a church or a substitute for a church.  It is not designed to provide pastoral care to members of the body of Christ in general.  All believers should be under the care of a pastor, hopefully one who has secured proper apostolic alignment.  GC is an apostolic network of leaders who include apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers as well as others such as intercessors, business people, politicians, educators, worship leaders, missionaries, and the like.
